Halima Mouhib wins Descartes-Huygens award

Halima Mouhib, French researcher, closely collaborating with the Bioinformatics research group VU CS department, won the annual Descartes-Huygens award for her fragrance research. Together with the Dutch evolutionary community ecologist, Rampal Etienne, Halima performs research into the connection between evolution and various sorts of plants, animals and bacteria. The award was awarded in particular because of the French-Dutch research cooperation and amounts to € 23.000 per laureate, enabling them to intensify their cooperation. The festivity will take place on 12 February 2021.
