VU Computer Science students compete for the NXP intelligent car racing cup

On March 19th , four teams of first-year bachelor Computer Science students will take part in the Paris qualification round of the NXP cup, a global student competition. Each team has programmed a fast and reliable microcontroller‐based autonomous car, based on the experience gained during the Physical Computing course, lectured by dr. Natalia Silvis-Cividjian. The best five teams will qualify for the NXP cup EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) finals that will be held on March 30rd 2019 in Nuremberg, Germany. This participation benefited from the valuable support from the Computer Science department, the technical staff (Elektronica Bèta VU and Fijnmechanische Instrumentatie Bèta VU) and logistics groups (Huisvesting Bèta and VU FCO).
