VU and TU Delft awarded research grant for architectural digital humanities project
Researchers from the Web and Media have been awarded a grant from Volkswagen Stiftung
for a three year digital humanities research project group around analysing and linking images of architecture history. In the multi-disciplinary project named "ArchiMediaL", researchers from the VU Web and Media group will collaborate with architecture historians and computer scientists from TU Delft as well as with German humanities scholars. The project will combine image analysis software with crowdsourcing and semantic linking to create networks of visual resources which will foster understanding of understudied areas in architectural history. From VU, Victor de Boer (Web and Media) is involved in this project.
